A member of an outlaw motorcycle gang is among multiple people arrested over a tobacco store firebombing that left an alleged offender critically injured.
The Bandidos clubhouse in Delacombe, on the outskirts of Ballarat in Victoria, was among several properties searched by detectives on Friday.
Arson and Explosives Squad detectives carried out the warrants following the firebombing of The Boss Tobacconist at Melton in Melbourne's outer northwest on September 3.
CCTV footage captured the moment two men got out of a white car with jerry cans, before a ball of flames engulfed the pair.
One of the men was still on fire as he got back into the ute and fell out onto the road as it drove off, leaving him behind.
Burnt clothing, including a single Nike shoe, could be seen left in the car park.
The 23-year-old was flown to Melbourne's Alfred Hospital, where he remained in a critical condition with significant injuries on Friday.
"Life as he knows it will never be the same," Detective Inspector Chris Murray told reporters following the incident.
"His so-called mate left him for dead. No care, no concern. A matter of saving his own skin."
The ute was later found on fire in Hopetoun Park, about 9km away, and has been seized for forensic testing.
Detectives in Ballarat on Friday arrested a number of people, including a 32-year-old man who is a patched member of the Bandidos outlaw motorcycle gang.
