Geelong spearhead Jeremy Cameron isn't 100 per cent fit ahead of a do-or-die AFL semi-final against Fremantle as he continues to battle an arm issue.
But teammate Mark Blicavs has backed the star Cat to have an impact from the wing.
Cameron only had nine disposals, playing a combination of wing and defence in Geelong's elimination final win over Carlton, which marked his second game back from injury.
The superstar forward still has lingering nerve issues with the right arm he broke in last year's grand final defeat to the Brisbane Lions and has also battled shoulder/AC joint problems.
Blicavs was unsure whether Cameron would spend more time forward.
"He's definitely not 100 per cent with the arm," Blicavs said on Monday.
"That's something 'Jerry' can work on how he's going to find the ball and those positions with the coaches - where he's going to start, and what his plan A, B and C looks like for this week.
"I mean, for me personally, if I take a mark and Jerry runs past me, I'm going to handball to him and give him the ball.
"But he's been awesome out on field, out on ground, at training with his attitude, with his will to get better. Can't keep a good man down - he'll be right to go."
Blicavs believed Cameron and Max Holmes would both be better placed for getting through returns from injury.
"They obviously had both pretty nasty injuries," Blicavs said.
"We've always said that we're bigger than one player. So we can hopefully fill those gaps as much as we can when they went down injured, and we had a good run and exposed some younger boys to playing footy.
"But to have the leadership and the experience of Jerry and Max, especially come this pointy end of the season, it's a real kick.
"So for those two to play the first final, and for Max to get through what he did with that injury, he's only going to be better for it."
Blicavs was confident Cameron could make an impact further up the ground.
"Jerry can play any position he wants - he's a gun. Wing's a bit new to him. Played a bit of back as well," Blicavs said.
"But he's one of our most damaging ball users with his kick, not only for goal but field kicking as well.
"So very keen to get the ball in his hands as much as we can this week for sure."
Blicavs, who last week signed on for 2027, is prepared to help young ruckman Mitch Edwards with "unbelievable" Fremantle star Luke Jackson, or assist the backline with Josh Treacy, Jye Amiss and Patrick Voss.
The 35-year-old dismissed the suggestion the Dockers were down on quality after a demoralising qualifying final loss to Hawthorn.
"They're more dangerous if they're on the ropes, I think - they'll be swinging," Blicavs said.
"We're expecting their best."
