Adelaide duo Zac Taylor and Hugh Bond have signed fresh contracts as their club sends a trio of frontliners for surgery.

Taylor, who played 17 games in his fourth season at the Crows, has inked a one-year contract while 12-gamer Bond has committed for two more years.

“Zac enjoyed a really strong run of games this year and has had to bide his time for a decent shot at AFL level," Adelaide's list manager Justin Reid said in a statement on Friday.

“And Bondy is a terrific team-first player, always prioritising the needs of his coaches and teammates above all else.”

The re-signings come as Darcy Fogarty, Reilly O'Brien and Mitch Hinge are sent for surgery after the Crows' straight-sets exit from the finals.

Key forward Fogarty will have an operation to fix spurs on a big toe while ruckman O'Brien will have arthroscopic surgery on an elbow.

Defender Hinge has already undergone surgery after being substituted out of Adelaide's 34-point semi-final loss to Hawthorn with an ankle syndesmosis injury.

Hinge is tipped to resume full pre-season training before Christmas while Fogarty and O'Brien are expected to be cleared to partake in all pre-season.

Captain Jordan Dawson appears to have avoided surgery after being troubled by a foot injury during Adelaide's failed finals campaign.

Former skipper Taylor Walker is yet to make a call on whether to continue playing next season or follow fellow veteran Brodie Smith into retirement.
