Boomers stars Dyson Daniels and Josh Giddey continue to have contrasting fortunes in the NBA.
Daniels dominated the glass on Wednesday (Thursday AEDT) in Washington and finished level with Atlanta centre Onyeka Okongwu for the most rebounds in the game with 16, six more than All-Star Wizards big Anthony Davis.
Australian Daniels also provided eight assists and eight points, albeit on 4-of-13 shooting, to help the Hawks win 120-105 and improve to a 5-4 record on the season.
Giddey travelled to New York and suffered another beat down, this time losing 135-105.
Chicago's starting point guard played just 26 minutes for 10 points, six assists and one rebound, as the Bulls lost their sixth successive game.
The Knicks' Jalen Brunson scored 33 points for the reigning champions, who led 84-52 at halftime and moved to 4-4.
Chicago have started 1-7 and are above only Milwaukee in the Eastern Conference.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had 42 points for the Thunder (6-2), while Donovan Mitchell scored a team-high 27 for the Cavs (4-4).
Aussie duo Josh Green and Duop Reath also suffered setbacks.
Green scored seven points in Utah's 120-113 overtime loss at New Orleans and Reath also banked seven points in Phoenix's 132-119 home defeat to former club Portland.
Klay Thompson made the winning three-pointer with a second left in overtime and Miami rallied past the Los Angeles Clippers 117-116.

"I mean he probably won't say it, that's greatness," Dylan Harper said of Spurs teammate Wembanyama.
"His mindset to go into every game to just dominate, dominate, dominate is unlike anyone else I've seen."
Paul George continued his hot start to life at Boston, scoring 25 points in their 109-102 win over the Bucks.
Derrick White added 24 points and seven assists for the Celtics (6-2), who played without star forward Jason Tatum.
