Emergency crews have been called to a commercial plane that landed at Brisbane Airport after fumes were detected in the cabin.
The Virgin Australia flight from Hamilton Island to Brisbane made a call for possible assistance as it made its approach on Thursday afternoon.
This was done as a precaution because "the safety of our guests and crew is our number one priority", a Virgin representative said.
Firefighters and paramedics met the plane on arrival.
Virgin denied reports there was smoke in the cockpit or cabin and the plane made an emergency landing.
Five passengers were assessed for fumes inhalation but all of them declined to go to hospital, Queensland Ambulance Service said.
