Ex-husband of Miss Universe in court accused of fraud

A former Miss Universe Australia's ex-husband has faced court on 115 charges of fraud over claims he stole almost $500,000 from an employer.

Justin McKeone appeared in Melbourne Magistrates Court on Friday for a brief hearing after being charged earlier in March.

The 38-year-old last year faced a civil claim in the Supreme Court brought by his former employer, Cozmic Sales Pty Ltd, which traded as Rocket Brands.

However, the court confirmed to AAP a judge dismissed the proceedings with the consent of all parties on March 31, 2025.

Victoria Police charged McKeone on March 9 with 115 fraud offences allegedly committed between June and October 2024.

He is accused of dishonestly obtaining for himself a financial advantage by deception namely by transferring himself funds from company funds, court documents stated.

Charge sheets said McKeone allegedly recorded these payments, which he was not entitled to, with a false ledger entries.

The amount of the alleged fraud totalled $481,490.33.

McKeone sat silently in the front row of court as his lawyer Andrew Halphen and prosecutors set upcoming court dates on Friday.

He is charged on summons and will return to the court on June 5 for a committal mention.

McKeone was married to Miss Universe Australia Olivia Molly Rogers, reportedly for eight months, before their split in 2022.
