RIB Software Launches Unify: An AI-Native Platform for Australian Construction Projects

RIB Software has announced the Australian launch of RIB Unify, a cloud-native platform designed to connect project teams, information, and workflows across the construction lifecycle. Combining collaboration, document management, process management, field operations, takeoff, estimating, and embedded AI, Unify helps organisations reduce fragmentation and improve decision-making from preconstruction through project delivery.

Cloud-native platform connects site and office by bringing together real-time collaboration, takeoff, and estimating with embedded AI.

Brisbane, Australia, Oct. 19, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- RIB Software has announced the Australian launch of RIB Unify, a cloud-native platform designed to connect project teams, information, and workflows across the construction lifecycle. Combining collaboration, document management, process management, field operations, takeoff, estimating, and embedded AI, Unify helps organisations reduce fragmentation and improve decision-making from preconstruction through project delivery.

The Australian construction sector continues to face increasing project complexity, workforce pressures, and growing requirements for accountability and transparency across project delivery.

Built specifically for the construction industry, Unify connects key project information, workflows and analytics, helping firms reduce fragmentation, accelerate decision-making, and improve project outcomes across increasingly complex construction environments.

By connecting project teams, documents, site activity, and commercial data within a single environment, Unify helps reduce manual administration, improve visibility across projects, and support faster, more informed decision-making.

Connecting Site and Office

Construction teams often struggle to keep site activity, project documentation, and office-based decision-making aligned. Unify addresses this challenge through integrated processes and document management capabilities that create a consistent flow of information between field and office teams.

Developed from the ground up as a modern multi-tenant SaaS platform with AI embedded as standard, Unify has been designed to reduce fragmentation across disconnected tools, paper, spreadsheets, and legacy systems through a scalable, browser-based environment.

At the core of the platform are collaboration tools Process Management and Document Management, supporting the flow of trusted information between site and office.

Process Management connects activity on site with teams in the office through mobile capture, structured tasks and workflows, and Digital Site Diaries, giving project teams greater visibility into what is happening on site and the actions that follow.

Document Management provides a controlled source of project information through structured versioning, revisions, approvals, and role-based access, while intelligent document classification helps reduce the manual effort involved in organising project documentation.

Embedded AI through RIB Omni helps users find and interrogate project documents and task information using natural language, making relevant project information easier to access within day-to-day workflows.

Together, these capabilities help organisations reduce administrative effort, improve accountability, and ensure project stakeholders are working from accurate, up-to-date information.

Insights, On Site

Available across mobile devices, Unify enables field teams to capture project information on site and make it immediately visible to office-based teams.

“Construction projects rely on collaboration between a vast network of stakeholders, disciplines, suppliers, and delivery teams,” said Rolf Helmes, Chief Product Officer at RIB Software. “One of the industry’s biggest challenges is ensuring that every stakeholder has access to the right project detail at the right time. Unify has been designed to solve exactly that problem.”

A major focus of the Australian launch is Unify’s collaboration offering, incorporating Document Management and Process Management to help teams maintain reliable project information, improve communication between field and office, and turn site activity into visible, traceable action.

Document Controllers and Contract Managers gain greater control over documentation, versions, and approvals, while Site and Project Managers benefit from improved visibility into activities, tasks, and issues.

The solution also provides a structured, auditable alternative to informal communication channels such as mobile messaging platforms.

Connected Takeoff and Estimating

Unify also brings together Takeoff and Estimating, providing preconstruction teams with a connected workflow from project drawings and models through quantities and pricing.

Takeoff supports measurement across 2D drawings and 3D models, including AI-assisted quantity extraction, while direct integration with Unify Estimating reduces manual re-entry and helps maintain alignment between measurement and pricing information.

Within Estimating, reusable frameworks, multi-user collaboration, and detailed resource-based pricing help teams build bids with greater speed and transparency. Integrated Analytics provide visibility into estimate versions, cost drivers, and changes - providing greater visibility into how bids are constructed and where commercial impacts arise.

Unlike traditional desktop construction systems, Unify has been designed as both cloud-native and AI-native, helping organisations take advantage of emerging technologies as their project and business requirements evolve.

“Being AI-native is fundamental,” added Helmes. “Construction organisations are investing in technology that not only solves today’s challenges but also gives them confidence they are prepared for the future. Unify provides a foundation customers can continue to grow into as new workflows, modules, and intelligent capabilities emerge.”

Decades of Knowledge: One Platform

The launch also reinforces RIB Software’s long-standing partnership approach to supporting customers throughout their digital transformation journeys.

With more than 50 years of heritage serving the global construction industry, RIB Software has developed a deep understanding of the operational dynamics, commercial pressures, and collaboration challenges that define modern construction environments. In Australia, that experience includes supporting thousands of construction professionals with industry-leading solutions such as CostX, CX, and Candy, which have become trusted tools for estimating, quantity takeoff, and project management across the region. Building on this foundation, Unify brings together RIB's construction expertise within a modern cloud-native platform that connects project teams, information, and workflows across the project lifecycle.

“For five decades, RIB Software has worked alongside the construction industry, evolving with its challenges and opportunities,” said Helmes. “That depth and breadth of experience is embedded into Unify. This is not technology designed in isolation; it is a platform shaped by the realities of construction projects and the people delivering them every day.”

The Australian launch of Unify marks the next step in RIB Software’s commitment to helping the construction industry embrace connected, intelligent, and future-ready project delivery.
