Investigation into $4 million suspicious school fire

Two men are wanted by police for questioning over a suspicious school fire that caused $4 million worth of damage.

The blaze broke out at Christian College's senior school in Waurn Ponds, near Geelong, in the early hours of New Years Day.

Investigators have been told two unknown men armed with tools damaged property and lit a fire at a building containing several classrooms.

The building was destroyed and the total damage bill is more than $4 million.

On Friday, investigators released CCTV images of two men dressed in dark clothing they believe can assist with inquiries.

One was described as having a solid build and reddish-coloured beard while the other is said to have a medium build.

Anyone who can identify the men has been asked to contact investigators.
