A man accused of murdering Tasmanian teenager Shyanne-Lee Tatnell is also facing drug and ammunition charges.
Shyanne-Lee's remains were discovered near a bush track in the state's northeast on July 26, more than 12 weeks after she was last seen alive.
Christopher Mark Jordan, 36, from the rural town of Scottsdale, was arrested the next day and charged with murdering the 14-year-old.
He appeared via video link in Launceston Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
Jordan did not enter a plea to one court of murder and was remanded in custody to next appear in court in late November.
It was revealed Jordan also faces charges of failing to comply with ammunition storage requirements, possessing a cannabis plant and possessing a prohibited import.
It is alleged four 12-gauge shells and 58 .223 calibre rounds were left in a cardboard box on top of a cabinet.
Jordan has yet to enter a plea to the offences, which allegedly occurred at Scottsdale on May 16.
Shyanne-Lee, 14, was remembered at her funeral on Saturday as energetic and someone who loved to sing and dance.
She was last seen on the night of April 30 near the North Esk River in the city of Launceston.
It is alleged Jordan murdered Shyanne-Lee on April 30 at Scottsdale.
Thorough searches of the river found no trace of the teenager, before a fresh police operation on July 26 near Nabowla, northeast of Launceston, uncovered remains.
The operation involved some 180 personnel and was the biggest search in northern Tasmania.
