Detectives in Western Australia are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a woman in Perth.
About 7.15am on Monday, police were called to an address on Sandpiper Drive in Yangebup, in Perth's south, where they located the deceased woman's body.
Police said a 54-year-old man was assisting with inquiries.
The man and the woman were believed to be known to each other, police said, and there was no ongoing threat to the public.
The investigation remains ongoing.
