A man has been charged with kidnapping and criminal group offences after a Punchbowl resident was dragged from his Sydney home and forced into a van.
The man, 30, was confronted at his home before being dragged onto the street in March 2021.
He returned home uninjured two days later, police said.
Strike force detectives later found links between the incident and two other Sydney kidnappings.
In one incident, a 58-year-old Dundas Valley man was assaulted after a man pretending to be a pizza delivery driver was followed into a home by three other men in February 2020.
The victim was carried to a vehicle and driven away. He arrived at Liverpool Hospital two days later with facial injuries and leg fractures.
Police have since charged a 26-year-old over the incident.
Police believe another kidnapping in June 2021 may be linked, after a group of men forced their way into a San Souci home, bundling a 44-year-old into a vehicle.
The victim was found at Padstow later that day with minor injuries.
Four men - aged 21, 23, 24 and 31 - were charged over the incident and remain before the courts.
After ongoing investigations, the Raptor Squad and strike force detectives descended on a home in Condell Park on Wednesday morning, arresting a 22-year-old man.
He was charged with take and detain in company with intent to get advantage occasioning actual bodily harm and participating in a criminal group.
He was due in Bankstown Local Court on Wednesday.
