An 18-year-old man has been charged with murder following the death of a teenager in outback Queensland.
Emergency crews were called to Gardener Drive in Mount Isa just after midnight on October 1.
An 18-year-old Menzies man was found with serious injuries and was taken to Mount Isa Base Hospital.
Police said the man died on Tuesday as a result of his injuries.
An 18-year-old Sunset man was taken into custody at the time of the incident and was initially charged with grievous bodily harm.
His charge has since been upgraded to one count of murder.
The man is expected to appear at Mount Isa Magistrates Court on Friday.
Police have urged any witnesses or anyone with dash-cam or CCTV footage from the vicinity of Gardener Drive on October 1 to come forward.
