A 60-year-old man has been remanded in custody charged with murder over a house fire that killed a woman.
Timothy Loosemore faced Melbourne Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
He is charged with murder and one count of criminal damage by fire over the blaze at Goldie on Saturday.
Emergency services were called to the Mt William Road property about 10.30pm and found the woman after the fire was extinguished.
Loosemore received non-life threatening injuries in the fire and was discharged from hospital on Monday before being charged.
He will return to court on January 22.
