Victor Radley's judiciary luck has run out with the Sydney Roosters lock facing a one-game ban for a high tackle.
One week after avoiding any charges over three separate incidents against Brisbane, Radley was on Saturday sanctioned for a shot on AJ Brimson.
The grade-two charge means Radley will miss the Roosters' Magic Round clash with North Queensland with an early guilty plea, or risk a second game out if he fights it.
Radley was placed on report for three separate tackles in last week's win over Brisbane, before being told he had avoided charge while sitting on a Fox League panel.
“Really? Is it April Fool’s?” Radley responded during the live broadcast.
“I thought for sure something was coming. So it’s actually great news.”
The Roosters star is the only player facing a ban out of Friday night's matches.
Gold Coast prop Moeaki Fotuaika can accept a $3000 fine for a hip-drop tackle on Siua Wong, clearing him to run out against Newcastle next Sunday.
Fotuaika is set to equal Mark Minichiello's record mark of 173 games for the Titans in that match before he becomes the club's most-capped player in round 12.
North Queensland fullback Scott Drinkwater also avoided a ban for his dangerous contact on Mitch Moses, as the Parramatta half kicked a golden-point field goal on Friday night.
The NRL confirmed on Saturday officials had acted within the rules in granting the Eels a penalty shot after the successful field goal, as they kicked out to a 33-30 win.
