AAP FACTCHECK - Footage of a supposed celebration of the Bondi Beach terror attack being shared on social media actually shows a pro-Palestine march held before the shootings.
The video depicts a rally in mid-November, weeks before the attack on December 14, 2025.
At least 15 people were killed and dozens were injured when two gunmen opened fire on people celebrating Hanukkah at Bondi Beach.
Several social media posts claim a video of people waving Palestinian flags and wearing keffiyehs depicts a celebration of the shootings.
A male voiceover claims to have filmed the clip one day after the Bondi attack.
"Jihadi march in Sydney near bondi beach [sic]! Today!!," one post reads.
"Muslims celebrating the #bondiattack," another reads.

However, the video actually depicts a pro-Palestine march in Sydney's CBD dating back to mid-November.
A frame-by-frame analysis comparing it with other footage of a protest on November 16 confirms it shows the same event.
The Palestine Action Group Sydney held a rally in the city on November 16, 2025.
Several videos of the event were posted on TikTok, along with a 49-second video shared on YouTube.
However, the YouTube video caption states the event occurred on November 17.
The same protesters, wearing the same clothes, can be seen across the three videos.
In particular, in the claimed celebration video (timestamp one minute 32 seconds) and in the YouTube clip (timestamp 0:29), the same flag-holding protesters appear in the same order, wearing identical clothing.
More attendees can be seen in both videos, including a man in black pushing a pram, a woman in a brown hijab, a drummer, and a small boy waving a small flag. All are wearing the same clothing across the videos.

NSW Police also confirmed to AAP FactCheck that the most recent pro-Palestine rally held in Sydney was on December 7, 2025, several days before the shooting.
Other posts feature an image of people clapping with keffiyahs wrapped around their faces.
"Pro-Palestine crowd in Manchester CELEBRATE the Bondi Beach Hanukkah massacre," the caption states.
Using Google reverse image search, AAP FactCheck traced the image as a screengrab from a video shared on X on June 8, 2025.
