A man and a woman will stand trial in the Supreme Court after pleading not guilty to murdering a 71-year-old man in western Victoria.

Jodie Rebecca Hill, 42, and Thomas Clarke, 54, have been charged over the death of John Lindsay Hunter.

He was found dead on January 23 at his home on Victoria Street in Dimboola, near the South Australian border.

Hill and Clarke pleaded not guilty during a brief appearance at Horsham Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
