A police officer has been charged with child sex offences in central Queensland.
The 50-year-old man, a former senior sergeant, was suspended from the Queensland Police Service before he resigned.
He has been charged with possessing child exploitation material and using a carriage service to access exploitation material, police said.
He is due to appear at Mackay Magistrates Court on June 19.
