GWS coach Adam Kingsley won’t fool himself into believing a returning cavalry will be enough to spark the Giants into form.
Kingsley will field his strongest Giants side yet with big guns Aaron Cadman (pelvic), Brent Daniels (hamstring) and Toby Bedford (hamstring) to line up against Richmond for their Gather Round fixture.
Key defender Jack Buckley (concussion) is also among the inclusions, while Kingsley has axed underperforming ruck Kieren Briggs for youngster Nick Madden.
An injury-ravaged Giants have stumbled to a 1-3 start, struggling to cover the loss of midfield bull Tom Green (knee) among many sidelined.
While knocking off bottom-placed Richmond appears an easy feat on paper for the Giants, Kingsley wasn’t convinced the return of key personnel was enough reprieve.
“It's nice to have them back, but we've got other things to fix rather than just having some players come back in,” Kingsley said.
“That's not going to solve all of our problems.
“They're all really good players, but … whoever takes the field is expected to play like a Giant.
“One of the issues that we've identified is our (inside-50) entry and our ability to kick a winning score.
“And it doesn't matter who we've got ahead of the ball, really.”

Madden will return to the senior side after what Kingsley labelled an “okay” start to the season from Briggs.
Briggs has averaged 19.3 hitouts, 11 disposals and 4.8 clearances across the opening four games.
Meanwhile, Madden pushed his AFL case with a starring performance against Collingwood in the VFL.
The 21-year-old kicked a goal to go with 36 hitouts, five clearances and four tackles.
Madden made his AFL debut last season and played three games in Briggs’s forced absence from injury.
"We’ve been okay in that position, but maybe okay is not quite where we want to be,” Kingsley said.
"Nick’s been playing really well in the VFL, really strong game against Collingwood at VFL level, so we'll reward that.
"We'll give him an opportunity and that competition for that spot will bring the best out of all of our rucks, not just Kieran and Nick."
Madden might not be the only change to the centre bounce against the Tigers, with Kingsley hinting key forward Jake Stringer could be set for midfield minutes.
“He’s obviously a very capable centre bounce player and we haven't been utilising him as much,” Kingsley said.
“We want to talk about another area that we need to tidy up, our centre bounce needs a little bit of work.
“Maybe he's the fix.”
