Forensic analysis of a car and items has turned up no links to a teenager who went missing in Tasmania more than five weeks ago.

Shyanne-Lee Tatnell, 14, was last seen near North Esk River in Launceston on the night of April 30 and has not made contact with anyone since.

Her disappearance sparked a large-scale river search which was formally paused on May 18.

Tasmania Police Inspector Nathan Johnston said investigators had forensically tested and swabbed a car relating to a person of interest but no link to Shyanne-Lee was found.

Insp Johnston reiterated there were no suspicious circumstances around her disappearance.

"Police will continue to follow avenues of inquiry and investigate every piece of information received," he said on Monday.

Police have renewed calls for information about two silver cars seen in CCTV footage in the area at 9pm on the day Shyanne-Lee disappeared.

"It is possible the driver and any occupants in these vehicles may have seen something that can assist police to locate Shyanne-Lee or determine her movements," Insp Johnston said.

About 100 people attended a vigil in Launceston on Sunday morning.

"No one can feel my heartache and the pain I feel every day without you," Shyanne-Lee's mother Bobbi-Lee told the gathering.

Insp Johnston said it was understandably a very trying time for her family.

"It’s a difficult set of circumstances for the community," he said.

"If Shyanne-Lee is out there, I remind her that she is not in any trouble, please contact us or family - we all want to know she is OK."

Shyanne-Lee was last seen wearing bike shorts and a cream hoodie with dark writing across the chest and shoulder.

She is described as being about 160cm tall with a slim build and blonde hair.

Anyone with information has been urged to contact police.
