The homes of three senior cops have been raided for allegedly receiving free sex services from workers linked to a colourful former brothel boss.

In a rare public statement following media reports, the NSW Law Enforcement Conduct Commission confirmed on Wednesday it searched the homes of the three senior police officers a week ago.

The commission said in a brief statement the search warrants were executed as part of its investigation.

"As a result, a number of electronic devices were seized. Commission powers were also exercised to seize devices from a fourth officer," it said.

The oversight body said it would not make any further comments on this but would release a public report once the investigation is concluded.

The services were allegedly procured by the high-ranking officers around a decade ago when high-profile gambler Eddie Hayson owned Stiletto, a brothel near Sydney's city centre.

The controversial Sydney personality is facing charges of commercial drug supply.

Premier Chris Minns said on Monday the force had a monumental task in restoring trust as he hoped the probe would be wrapped up quickly.

"NSW police have got a big job in front of them," he told reporters.

"The independent investigations are very important, but we need them concluded as soon as possible so we can have some certainty for NSW police and our commissioner can get on with his job."
