A third man has been charged after a boat intercept resulted in the biggest seizure of methylamphetamine and cocaine in Tasmania’s history.
Two men were charged in December with drug trafficking following a police operation at Rocky Cape on the state's remote northwest coast.
Tasmania Police allegedly found 4kg of cocaine and 3kg of methylamphetamine in what they dubbed their largest seizure of the drugs.
A 38-year-old man from Blackmans Bay south of Hobart was charged with drug trafficking on Thursday.
Police seized 10 guns from his house. He was granted bail and is expected to appear in court in May.
The drugs had a street value of about $4.6 million and equated to about 30,000 deals of methylamphetamine and 4000 of cocaine, police said.
The two men were also allegedly found possessing a .22 pistol and ammunition.
