A woman has died and another has been injured in a house fire in northwestern Adelaide.

Fire crews and police were called to the home in Angle Park about 2.30pm on Friday where they found the residence ablaze.

Metropolitan Fire Service crews extinguished the fire and one female resident was taken to Royal Adelaide Hospital with minor injuries.

A body was found inside the home.

Forensic identification will take place in the coming days but media outlets say the dead person is a woman and her sister was the person injured.

No others were being sought over the matter, police said.
