Woman to face court over crash that injured Qld MP

A woman will face court over a crash that left Queensland Greens MP Amy MacMahon in hospital with serious injuries.

The 26-year-old was allegedly driving the Hyundai i30 which struck Dr MacMahon's Toyota Prius at Kangaroo Point on February 12.

Dr MacMahon had left a function and was on her way to another community event with the collision occurred.

The member for South Brisbane was treated for head and suspected spinal injures before being taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital, where she remains in a stable condition.

A 26-year-old woman taken to hospital with minor injuries after the crash.

She was was served with a notice to appear for dangerous driving causing grievous bodily harm, and is expected to appear in Brisbane Magistrate's Court on March 14.
