Fremantle's unicorn Luke Jackson has been described as the hardest match-up of all time for opposition ruckmen as the Dockers look to further cement their status as premiership favourites.
Jackson has played a key role in Fremantle's club-record 13-match winning run, with his ability to dominate in the ruck, at ground level, and in attack making it near impossible to stop his influence.
Barring injury, Jackson is considered a shoo-in to earn his maiden All-Australian selection this year, and he has even rocketed into Brownlow medal calculations.
The 24-year-old will again play a key role when Fremantle take on out-of-form Gold Coast at Optus Stadium on Sunday, and Dockers young gun Murphy Reid can't help but marvel at Jackson's feats.
"He'd be the worst match-up of all time for another ruckman to play on, just how well he moves," Reid said of Jackson, who is averaging 19.6 disposals, 5.1 clearances, 25.3 hitouts and 5.4 tackles per match to go with 15 goals.
"He shouldn't be able to do what he can do with the ball for his size. He's amazing, and I love playing with him."
Reid has been handed extra midfield minutes this season, giving last year's Rising Star winner an up-close look at just how good Jackson is.
"It's just awesome being able to play under him and play with him given the confidence he's got right now," Reid said.
"Just how strong he is - like he can just manoeuvre his opponent so well.
"And then just his burst of speed for a big man is awesome.
"Literally once the ruck tap is done, he plays as an extra midfielder, and so many times he's in the offensive plays. I'm so privileged that he's on our team."
The Dockers have axed premiership ruckman Mason Cox in favour of the fit-again Sean Darcy, who will play second fiddle to Jackson in the ruck.
While Jackson has announced himself as a superstar of the competition this year, Reid isn't far behind him.
The 19-year-old has already established a reputation for being one of the most skilled players in the league, with his vision of the play rated as elite.
Reid is averaging 7.4 score involvements and 24 disposals per game this season, to go with 10 goals.
Gold Coast (7-7) beat Fremantle by one point in last year's elimination final in Perth.
Fremantle won't let thoughts of revenge consume them, but they no doubt sense a chance to dish out some payback against a Suns outfit that is currently riding a four-match losing streak.
