Brisbane veteran Dayne Zorko is back, the Western Bulldogs are weighing up whether to keep their faith in Tim English, and Adelaide have loaded up on stars ahead of a bumper round 18 of AFL action.

In other notable selection news, Hawthorn have regained defenders Jarman Impey and Karl Amon, Geelong dropped ruckman Mitch Edwards, and Scott Pendlebury returns for Collingwood.

The Crows have been bolstered by the return of Riley Thilthorpe (illness) and Wayne Milera (hamstring) for Saturday night's clash with Gold Coast.

The Suns, looking to snap a six-game losing streak, have recalled Will Graham, but have lost Ben Long to suspension.

Zorko has been sidelined by a quad injury since round nine, but the 37-year-old is set to return alongside co-captain Hugh McCluggage for Sunday's home clash with Essendon.

The Bombers have named Archie Roberts following a quick recovery from a dislocated shoulder, but Jordan Ridley, who has been linked with a move to the Lions, has been managed due to soreness.

Impey and Amon are back for Hawthorn ahead of Saturday night's blockbuster clash with Carlton, while Ollie Greeves will make his AFL debut.

Nick Watson (hamstring) has been ruled out again for the Hawks.

The Blues have regained Harry Dean from a hand injury.

Tim English

English has been named in the Bulldogs' extended squad for Sunday's match against West Coast, but there's no guarantee he will play.

The 28-year-old tallied just eight hitouts, 10 possessions and three clearances against Brodie Grundy (60 hitouts, 17 disposals, six clearances) in last week's loss to Sydney, spending some time in defence.

“A bit like our midfield group this year, we’ve had some inconsistency through them working together, individuals at times, and Tim’s in that,” Bulldogs coach Luke Beveridge said.

“But he’s obviously had some disruptions with the concussion, so a part of it might be a confidence thing.

“I’ve got every thought in my head that he’s going to be able to move towards being influential again - whether that is this week or not remains to be seen.

"Ultimately, we have to be convinced he's pretty close to 100 per cent to play this week."

The Bulldogs have lost Nick Coffield (concussion), Connor Budarick (ankle) and Ryley Sanders (hand) to injury.

Pendlebury returns for Collingwood for Friday night's clash with North Melbourne.

The Kangaroos get forward Paul Curtis back from suspension, but have lost George Wardlaw to a hamstring injury.

Geelong have axed ruckman Edwards for Saturday's match against GWS, with the Giants losing Lachie Whitfield to concussion.
