A girl has become the third teenager charged over a life-shattering alleged attack on a Melbourne boy walking home from school.
The 14-year-old student was confronted by a group in a Volkswagen Tiguan as he left Glen Eira College in Glen Huntly on September 4.
He was forced into a car and suffered life-threatening injuries after coming out of the vehicle while it was moving, police allege.
The year nine student was taken to hospital, where he has reportedly undergone brain surgery after being placed on a ventilator.
A 14-year-old girl was arrested in Langwarrin on Wednesday morning over the alleged armed robbery.
She has since been charged with multiple offences, including conduct endangering serious injury, recklessly causing serious injury, dangerous driving, armed robbery, robbery and theft of a motor vehicle.
The Langwarrin girl has been bailed to face a children's court at a later date.
A 14-year-old Frankston South boy and a 15-year-old Cranbourne boy have been remanded in custody after previously being charged over the alleged attack.
