The only problem for Harry Hoekstra is he is well aware that not every day of Sheffield Shield cricket will be like this.
After leading the rescue of Victoria's first innings, Hoekstra ended his first day as a Shield player by snaring the wicket of South Australia's dropped Test opener Jake Weatherald for a sixth-ball duck.
SA were 1-4 at stumps on day one on Wednesday at Junction Oval in reply to the home side's 244.

"If you'd given me that at the start of the day, I would have bitten your hand off," 20-year-old Hoekstra said.
"The adrenaline was probably still going a bit from when I was batting. I was lucky enough to take that through and bowl a decent ball to (Weatherald).
"It probably still hasn't sunk in. I'm definitely pinching myself. It's pretty crazy - the hard part is keeping it up now."

Hoekstra came in at No.9 and top-scored with 45. He put on 62 for the ninth wicket with No.10 Doug Warren, who contributed 20, after Victoria were in deep trouble at 8-173 having lost the toss.
Then Hoekstra, who made his Victorian debut in a one-dayer last month, opened the bowling and had Weatherald caught behind without scoring.
Fellow opener Henry Hunt and Mackenzie Harvey were at the crease at stumps.
The rematch of last season's Shield final started much as that game had ended, with the SA attack making short work of the Victorian top order.
Highly rated No.4 Ollie Peake had made 32 before he left a ball just before lunch and was bowled by Henry Thornton, who also claimed the wicket of Matt Short for 31.
No.6 Liam Blackford was stiff to be run out for 27 when bowler Nathan McAndrew fielded cleanly on his follow through and threw down the stumps before the batsman could turn around.
Hoekstra was the last wicket to fall, caught in the deep by Weatherald off Brendan Doggett.
Thornton (3-51) and Doggett (3-56) took three wickets apiece.
