The victim of a home invasion in inner-city Sydney is still fighting for life in hospital more than a week after being seriously injured in the attack.

Police were called to an apartment complex in Pyrmont on May 21 after reports the 38-year-old man had suffered serious head and arm injuries.

The man was "severely beaten" and had his hands cable-tied together when officers reached him.

NSW Police are hoping to speak to the three men in this CCTV footage.

Nine days later, the man remains in Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in a critical condition as detectives continue their investigation.

A 37-year-old man has been charged with breaking and entering and inflicting grievous bodily harm.

He has been refused bail and is next due to appear in Burwood Local Court on July 17.

Authorities are trying to track down three more men following the attack, all of whom were captured on CCTV footage that police released on Thursday in the hope of finding them.

Police were still looking for several people of interest as part of their investigation, Detective Inspector David El-Badawi said.

The group were seen leaving the Pyrmont area in a dark-coloured Toyota Kluger, he added.

Police are trying to find a man in his 40s of Middle Eastern appearance with a medium build and a receding hairline who was wearing fluorescent orange and black workwear.

Detectives are also looking for two men of Caucasian appearance, one of whom was also in his 40s and wearing similar work clothes.
