Brisbane Lions forward Lincoln McCarthy has been offered a one-match ban for striking Kamdyn McIntosh in Thursday's 81-point AFL win over Richmond.

McCarthy struck McIntosh on the chin with a jumper punch, with many pundits calling for him to be suspended.

The incident was graded as intentional conduct, low impact and high contact, drawing a one-game ban.

Unless he unsuccessfully challenges the suspension, McCarthy will miss next week's home clash with West Coast.
