The deaths of a man and woman whose bodies were found on a walking track near Victoria's Great Ocean Road are not suspicious, police have confirmed.

The bodies were discovered by a passer-by on a trail near Wreck Beach at Gellibrand Lower, in Victoria's southwest, about 10.45am on Friday.

Officers are yet to determine the circumstances surrounding the two deaths but say they are not treating either as suspicious.

They will prepare a report for the coroner.

Investigators continue to urge anyone with information to come forward.

Wreck Beach is about half-an-hour's drive from the Twelve Apostles, a major Great Ocean Road tourist attraction.
