Tasmanian police searching for a teenager unseen since April are appealing for information on a car spotted near the girl's last known whereabouts.

Detectives have released CCTV footage of the last confirmed sighting of 14-year-old Shyanne-Lee Tatnell, walking down Launceston's Henry St towards the Henry Street Bridge in a cream hoodie on April 30.

Ms Tattnell had been staying in youth accommodation for the two weeks prior but never returned, after leaving to visit a friend in nearby Ravenswood.

Police have conducted searches in the North Esk River near Henry Street Bridge but uncovered no trace of the teenager.

"Because it's a missing person investigation, and as I mentioned, nothing's ruled in or out so we're going to continue to explore all opportunities to help try and locate Shyanne-Lee," Detective Acting Inspector Andrew Hanson told reporters in Launceston on Friday.

"We're looking at every possible opportunity, every possible outcome and we are looking at all contingencies."

Of the vehicles recorded by CCTV in the area about 9pm that night, only a silver sedan still hasn't been identified.

“If you were the driver of a silver vehicle in the area at the time, or you know who was, please come forward," Insp Hanson said.

Information can be provided direct to Launceston CIB or anonymously through Crime Stoppers Tasmania.
