Woman's body found in car boot, man charged with murder

A man will face court charged with murder after a woman's body was found in the boot of a car.

Emergency services were called to a unit on Park Street in the NSW beachside town of Evans Head following a concern for welfare report about 8.10am on Friday.

A 60-year-old woman's body was discovered in the boot of a car.

The 39-year-old man has been refused bail to face Lismore Local Court on Saturday after being arrested at the scene.

The man, who police allege is known to the woman, has been charged with domestic violence related murder, as well as improperly interfere with corpse or human remains.
