Detectives make two arrests over motorbike crash death

Police have arrested two men following the death of another man nine months ago. (HANDOUT/AAP)

Two men have been arrested nine months after the death of a man from what was initially thought to be a  motorcycle crash.

The 47-year-old was found badly injured on Yarram-Morwell Road at Yarram in southeast Gippsland on January 16.

Police arrived on scene following reports of a motorcycle crash but subsequent investigations determined some of the man's injuries were inconsistent with a crash.

Two men aged 39 and 28 were arrested at rural properties in Yarram and Mildura on Wednesday.

They will be questioned by homicide detectives.
